Optical Interrogator DOI-143
The DOI-143 interrogator is designed for reading sensitive sensors based on fiber Bragg gratings (FBG).
The DOI-143 interrogator is available in two configurations:
- 4xLC+MUX – for operation with an optical multiplexer providing expansion of the interrogator’s 4 channels. In this configuration, the Interrogator reads FBGs connected to the first channel of the multiplexer, sends a command to switch the multiplexer channels, and repeats measurements for FBGs connected to the second channel of the multiplexer, and so on;
- 16xLC – in this configuration, the Interrogator connects directly to FBGs without using optical multiplexers.
SOFTWARE The embedded software of the Interrogator provides functions for measuring FBG wavelengths, controlling the optical multiplexer, converting wavelengths into physical units, supporting communication protocols, etc.
The DOI-143 interrogator operates in two modes:- Operational mode – in this mode, measurements are performed on all channels, and data is provided in the format of measurement results (wavelengths and/or physical quantities).
- Service mode – in this mode, the device transmits raw data from a selected channel via Ethernet interfaces to the PC running the “Interrogator” service software (included in delivery). This mode is used during commissioning works to assess the condition of the measurement path and for individual configuration of settings.
