Multifunctional Panel Meter ShMK96

Power quality indicators are its most important characteristics, directly affecting its consumer properties. Deviation of these parameter values from established norms can lead to a decrease in the efficiency of electricity use, reduction in equipment lifespan, and other negative effects. The current state of the regulatory framework in this area allows reliable recording of violations of power quality standards, but does not allow identifying specific culprits of recorded distortions and their actual contribution to the observed effects. At present, an obvious trend has emerged in the development of power quality analysis systems in this direction, but besides the lack of a regulatory framework, there are other factors limiting this development. For the practical implementation of such systems, an inexpensive measuring device is necessary, suitable for mass installation (on each feeder and each substation input), performing high-precision measurements synchronously with other devices within the power quality analysis system. Today, one of the important factors limiting the development of power quality analysis systems is the absence on the market of a key component of such systems – a specialized measuring instrument.
To solve this problem, our company “ITC Continuum”, in collaboration with the Cheboksary plant “Electropribor”, has developed a new measurement platform that can become the foundation for the further development of power quality analysis systems – the multifunctional panel meter ShMK96. This device is fully capable of meeting modern requirements for devices of this type and has significant potential for further development. The developed device performs power quality measurements in accordance with the requirements of the most current regulatory framework (GOST 30804.4.30 standard), applied to devices of the highest accuracy class (Class A).
Support for the most common communication protocols allows the developed device to be integrated into the majority of existing telemetry systems. The device was initially designed with a significant margin in both computational power and communication capabilities. Despite the variety of implemented functions and the highest level of measurement accuracy, the used hardware platform retains significant potential, allowing for further expansion of functionality in the future and quick adaptation to possible changes in the regulatory framework.
Thanks to modern production technology and the quality of materials and components used, the main advantages of the device will be its panel-mounted design with minimal dimensions in its class (96×96 mm on the front panel) and an unprecedentedly moderate price for a device of this class. Currently, the device is undergoing internal testing, and already in 2015, the Electropribor plant will be able to start mass production of the new device.
Type Approval Certificate for Measuring Instruments
On April 14, 2015, the ShMK96 device was entered into the Unified State Register of Measuring Instruments under registration number 60431-15, and the Type Approval Certificate for Measuring Instruments RU.C.34.004.A No. 58507 was issued.
